The Utah Environmental Laboratory Certification Program (ELAP) establishes and enforces standards for laboratories providing compliance testing results to the State of Utah Department of Environmental Quality. Laboratories requesting certification must complete an application, participate in proficiency testing programs, and meet state laboratory standards. The certification process requires state certification officers conduct an on-site survey of the laboratory assessing the laboratory’s compliance with state standards.
