Environmental Lab Certification
This program establishes and enforces standards for laboratories providing compliance testing results to the State of Utah Department of Environmental Quality. Laboratories requesting certification must complete an application, participate in proficiency testing programs, and meet state laboratory standards. The certification process requires state certification officers conduct an on-site survey of the laboratory assessing the laboratory’s compliance with state standards.
Drinking Water
Primarily a wholesaler of water to cities and improvement districts within Salt Lake County, Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District is a political subdivision of the State of Utah and one of the largest water districts in the state. It was created in 1951 under the Water Conservancy Act and was called the Salt Lake County Water Conservancy District until 1999.
Water Quality Professionals
The Water Environment Association of Utah is an affiliated Member Association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF). WEF is a not-for-profit technical and educational organization of 33,000 individual members and 75 affiliated Member Associations representing water quality professionals around the world.
