    Sky’s NOW TV launches to take on Netflix and LoveFilm with on-demand TV and movies<br />By Published: 07:35 EDT, 21 March 2012 | Updated: 07:35 EDT, 21 March 2012 <br> <br>Sky is to launch a new internet TV service called NOW TV allowing anyone to rent films on a pay-as-you-go or monthly subscription basis.

    <br /><br><br>The service, which was revealed by Sky’s chief executive Jeremy Darroch this morning, is set to rival similar packages offered by LoveFilm and Netflicks. <br /><br><br>It means that anyone will be able to watch Sky Movies content on their PC, Mac, laptop, tablet, mobile phone, games console of internet TV.

    <br /><br><br>Sky is yet to reveal how much the service will cost users, but it said that people will be able to pay monthly for unlimited access or rent a single movie on a simple, pay-as-you-go basis. <br>  More… <br>Existing Sky customers can already watch on-demand content on Sky Anytime+ and movies subscribers can also watch on other devices through Sky Go.

    <br /><br><br>Jeremy Darroch, Sky’s chief executive, said: ‘We’ll offer two distinctive ways to watch: the market-leading full Sky service for the whole family, complete with the widest range of channels, high quality products like Sky+, HD and Sky Go, and the peace of mind of a monthly bill; or the flexible, more spontaneous, pay-as-you-go service of NOW TV.'<br /><br><br>Until this year Lovefilm had the home rental delivery market pretty much to itself, озвучка lostfilm онлайн posting 250,000 DVDs every day to its 2 million plus subscribers.<br /><br><br>But then in early January, American film giant Netflix jumped into the home entertainment ring by launching a streaming service offering shows such as Shameless and Inbetweeners.

    <br /><br><br>Sky first announced its TV subscription service in February this year. A spokesman from Sky said that they could not give an exact date for launching the service but that it would be available in the first part of this year.
